Prologue
Five or six years ago, an eager young space cadet purchased a game entitled: Klingon Academy; little did he know how this one game would change his life and the lives of many others forever. Having completed all of the single player missions, he longed for more and downloaded a multiplayer program called: MPlayer. The young cadet logged on under the name of Cyber1 and proceeded to try his skill against other actual players. After receiving a fair amount of beat downs and having personal issues arise at home; the cadet made a decision to leave the online world for an indefinite period of time.
Four months later, Cyber1 had fixed things at home and had decided to try this multiplayer thing again. He logged on only to discover that people were leaving MPlayer for a new program entitled: Gamespy Arcade. The cadet downloaded Gamespy Arcade and found that someone had taken his name. After hours of pondering, he decided upon a unique name that he thought people would remember and settled on Vermin.
The Beginning
When Vermin entered the Klingon Academy lobby the first time, he was overwhelmed by the number of people there. Even more perplexing were these strange bracketed acronyms in front of everyone's name i.e. [GC], [BSM], [UFP], [GMF] and [IKC]. Hundreds of people were there and it was a weekday afternoon. Vermin decided to inquire about playing with others. The only person willing to help him was an individual called: [UFP] Demonshier. Demonshier made a room and explained to Vermin how to enter and how to get ready for the game. After the game was launched, Vermin received the worst beating he had ever received. Vermin endured a few more of these beatings before Demonshier offered him membership in the UFP, he happily agreed.
A few days had passed since Vermin filled out the join form and he received an email from a person named: Kingryan welcoming him to the UFP and instructing him how to register on their forums. Vermin registered and after doing so, was in awe of their forums and the opportunity to interact with other members. The first two people he quickly made friends with were Atmos and Modemboy. Atmos, Modemboy and Demonshier taught Vermin everything he needed to know whenever they had the time.
Shortly after meeting these people, he met another person who would change his online persona forever, Gordon. He was Klingon Academy Commanding officer and could be as cold as ice, but he was intelligent. This person's mere presence could bring silence to an otherwise crowded lobby, just by entering it.
The Flame of the Warrior
Vermin tried his best to avoid Gordon. Friday and Saturday nights, Gordon hosted training sessions which Vermin would have to attend and Modemboy's GSA didnt work causing Vermin to be his intermediate to the other members during these sessions. After each training session, Gordon seemed to find something wrong with Vermin's performance and seemed to relish bitching at him, at every opportunity. Vermin endured this because he loved the UFP. After a short time, three more people joined the UFP who Vermin would become friends with. Kameco, Kaze and McDuff had developed a little cliché and were not interested in letting anyone else in it. Vermin became very jealous of Kameco because it seemed that Kameco outdid him in everything and was being continuously praised while Vermin was continuously scolded. Eventually, Vermin and Kameco became close friends.
During another training session, Gordon was in the middle of his usual bitch out Vermin sessions when Modemboy spoke up, saying that Gordon was wrong. After being ejected by Gordon from a game, Vermin and Gordon went into a private room and the two bickered for what seemed like an eternity. Gordon had demoted him two ranks, put him on suspension and was trying to publicly embarrass Vermin when Kingryan, their leader, stepped in and put an end to it. Even though this was over, it lit a fire that would determine Vermin's destiny.
The Death of UFP 3
The United Federation of Planets ends seemed boundless. It was growing daily and things were going well for Vermin, until he met a new member by the name of Towlin. Towlin was the best Klingon Academy player that Vermin had ever seen and never had much to say. One night, Vermin witnessed Towlin conversing with a group of BSM and immediately suspected him of being a spy. Shortly thereafter, Vermin found out he was also known as Mordred. After revealing himself, Mordred left the UFP to rejoin BSM. Weeks after this ha transpired, ¾ of the UFP's command staff resigned, throwing the fleet into anarchy. Gordon assumed the Fleet Admiralty and chaos reigned. Vermin and Kameco grew tired of the way things were going and decided to create their own fleet, although they could have timed it better, they dropped their UFP tags in the middle of a training session and immediately put on their new fleet's tag: [OF] (Omega Fleet).
Immediately, they found themselves surrounded by hostile UFP and after received a massive beating, Kameco returned to the UFP, leaving Vermin to fend for himself. A few weeks later, Vermin was approached by a friend named: Lurch. Lurch wanted Vermin to join SFEC, wary from his solitude, Vermin reluctantly agreed. Vermin's destiny was not to be fulfilled there however. He quickly discovered that he didnt share the same ideals as his new friends and resigned. Soon thereafter, he was contacted by another friend named Soth, from the UFP. He asked Vermin if he would be interested in creating something new, after Vermin agreed the Omega Alliance was born. While Vermin was busy trying to get OA together, the UFP was crumbling. One of its members: Eminem, decided to take off and take the entire SFC division with him. Vermin tracked Eminem down and talked him and the SFC division of UFP into joining OA. By this time, there were massive resignations in the UFP and Vermin was enlisting each one as they left.
UFP 4
One evening while recruiting for the Omega Alliance on Gamespy Arcade, Vermin was surprisingly approached by the founder and original leader of the UFP, Harry. After explaining the situation to Harry, Vermin was asked to help fix it. After contemplating Harry's request for a few days, Vermin contacted him and agreed only if two conditions were met: 1) Gordon must resign as Fleet Admiral and 2) Harry would regain control to pass it to Vermin. After Harry agreed to this, Vermin spoke to Soth and resigned from OA. Harry and Vermin then set upon their task to relieve Gordon, who needless to say, was not happy. Harry reduced Gordon to the rank of Captain and placed him in the Klingon Academy division. Vermin had hoped that Gordon would see the light and come around, but this was not to be. His first act of treachery was to contact the UFP's web host on GSA and tell them that UFP had closed, resulting in the site and forums being deleted. Infuriated, Vermin set upon the task of confronting Gordon about this and after a long confrontation, Vermin called for a vote in the fleet to expel Gordon forever and it passed.
Vermin lined a host up and brought forums online for it, but the site was mysteriously hacked several times and after months of abuse from Gordon, Kingryan, Apo and Zubob they seemed to fade away. Vermin was finally able to focus on rebuilding the UFP. Eminem returned, along with the SFC division and Vermin met Gibba, the Elite Force Commanding Officer. Vermin was reunited with many old friends such as: I-Man, Kameco, Modemboy and Bytrix, whilst making a lot of new friends. Vermin led the UFP for almost a year and a half, making it a huge and powerful force to be reckoned with.
The TSR
Things began to stagnate in the UFP and it seemed like nothing Vermin or the Command Staff did could revitalize it. Over time, Gordon and Vermin patched things up and Gordon contacted him one day with a proposal. Another fleet SMC, led by Atmos was about to close its doors and Gordon wanted the UFP, SMC and the original UFP Command Staff to merge into a super fleet called: TSR. After bringing the idea before the UFP's Command Staff and Gordon meeting with them, it was decided that the UFP would close her doors for the final time. After serving in TSR for a short time, it seemed like the Command Staff were in constant turmoil over petty things and Vermin became depressed because he felt like he had let everyone down. Vermin decided to retire from the UFP and contacted Mordred to see if there was a place for him in the BSM.
The BSM
Vermin resigned from the TSR and joined the BSM with Mordred. The two of them trained conversed, shared ideas and actually designed a Klingon skin for the BSM, only to have it be rejected by command. Mordred took it upon himself to train Vermin as a warrior. The two of them battled others constantly but as Vermin's skill grew, his thoughts returned to the UFP. He often wondered if Gordon had kept his word and upon hearing that he didnt, his blood boiled with rage. Vermin talked to Mordred about the possibility of the two of them forming a fleet and Mordred wanted to but his loyalty was to the BSM and his honor wouldnt allow him to leave. After apologizing to Mordred, and received his blessing and assurances that a spot would always be open to him in the BSM; Vermin set a course for TSR space with anger in his heart and hell in its wake.
The Warrior's Unite
After the long voyage from BSM space to TSR, Vermin knew a frontal assault would be ineffective against heir numbers. Vermin instead decided to attack their convoys. After accumulating enough supplies, he began construction a small base in uncharted territory. Upon it's completion he contacted Kameco, PPolo, Vader, PC, Maniac and a few others who were just as angry as he. With these troops and more supplies, a larger base was constructed and they began calling themselves the Warrior's Guild. The TSR soon began escorting their convoys with warships, this didnt stop Vermin and Vader soon attacked the convoy and were surprised to learn that two of the most feared individuals, Promo and Connrail were commanding the defending ships. Vader's VoDleh heavy battle cruiser could stand against the assault, Vermin's destroyer couldnt. The battle raged on with the two excelsior ships ganging up on Vader with their tractors, meanwhile Vermin kept cloaking and un-cloaking and Vermin managed to break their tractor hold on Vader's ship, causing massive damage to his own ship. Nonetheless, Vader and Vermin managed to capture the transports and slip away leaving the Excelsior's battered and bruised.
Death of the TSR
A few days later, Connrail allowed himself to be captured so that he could be brought before Vermin. He wanted to join the Warrior's Guild which shocked everyone, considering the battle that he had led a few days earlier. Connrail said that he was solely blamed for Vermin and Vader's escape and he was sick of it. The High Council decided to allow Connrail entry, but kept a close eye on him. Soon thereafter, WG grew like a wild brush fire and Vermin and his High Council decided it was time to take back what was theirs.
While monitoring communications between the TSR and another clan called Havok, he quickly learned that Havok had launched a massive assault against he TSR and Vermin used this opportunity to launch a strike of his own. After rallying his troops, Vermin led an assault on the TSR home world and within hours, it lay in ruin. Vermin immediately claimed the space that had originally belonged to the UFP.
WG vs. Everyone
After the Warrior's Guild had been around a few months, turmoil erupted in the High Council. A high ranking admiral with delusions of grandeur who shall remain un named, decided to take it upon himself and try to stage a coup within WG. After being caught, judged and cast out, he joined Starfleet and began to try to take WG's SFC members. This act, called poaching, is something that is highly frowned upon by members of the Star Trek Community. Yet, he managed to take a lot of the Starfleet Command division's members with him. Vermin managed to talk to one of them named Slayer (who is now known as Blood Angel) after explaining the un named one’s deceit, Slayer resigned and brought all but one of the former members back to WG. That person was Unlucky Affliction; he wasnt convinced of un named one’s treachery yet. After meeting with Unlucky Affliction and convincing him to re-join WG.
Vermin encountered the un named one in the SFC3 lobby with his new Fleet Admiral, Jesse. The two of them tried to publicly embarrass Vermin. Vermin tolerated this until he finally told them to put their fleet where their mouth was and immediately declared war on Starfleet. Jesse and the un named one were highly amused until the first assault destroyed an entire wing of Jesse's ships. Starfleet launched squadron after squadron at WG, only to be crushed by WG's superior skill. After losing many battles, Starfleet decided to call upon its allies to assist them against us, consisting of six or more fleets. Surrounded by enemies, WG still pushed them back however, WG's resolve was being worn down until Vermin received a strange subspace message. Praetor Lord Uppity and Senator Lord Spheric from Romulan Star Command were asking if Vermin required assistance in the war. Questioning their motives, as Romulans and Klingons rarely get along, Vermin graciously accepted RSC's assistance. Within two days, Starfleet and her allies surrendered after losing 97% of their navy.
The End
All of this happened a long time ago and since then I have touched many lives and have had mine touched as well. I have strived to make this community a better place for us all and will continue to do so for as long as I am able.
I would like to thank the following people for their support, understanding and patience:
Modemboy, for sticking up for me when it mattered most Bytrix, the laziest person in the fleet but the only one willing to do anything Kameco, for being that little voice of reason in my ear. Kaze, for telling me to ignore Kameco and attack anyway. Mac, for being Mac. Williams, for being the snot nosed, big mouthed rookie who I shaped into one of the finest officers ever to grace a fleet. Gibba, the same as Williams Eminem, I tried to train you, but you were too hard headed I-Man, who I recruited long ago Vader, who is loud, rude, arrogant and brash but is one hell of a pilot and a true friend. Lurch, so I dont have to be the oldest in the fleet Mordred, who smacked some sense into me when I needed it and trained me. Blood Angel, for being the WG's comic relief and one of the finest players. Unlucky Affliction, for following me and reminding me how stupid I was every day when I left WG. Connrail, for reminding me how bad Nazism is.
And every Warrior to walk the halls of WG, the list would be too long to put here, but your loyalty and service have shaped this fleet into what it is today.
The final dedication goes to Gordon, without you I wouldnt have the drive and determination that I have today.
